Is it worth switching to a broadband service? Like most things, depends on the situation you are. Dial-up is cheap, it’s almost dirt cheap. That is the advantage, but do not expect to surf the net at cruising speed. If speed is what you want, then broadband is significantly faster than dial-up.

Then switch to broadband is a waste of money. Like most people use the Internet only for checking and sending e-mails. Dial-up but works well for you.

- Play online games

Like me. I use the Internet for online games, checking my websites, downloading music and video. So broadband is a boon to my life online.
